IONA House

The IONA House Food Pantry is located at 315 Claiborne Ave. in Jackson. It is open on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Volunteers age 12 and up are needed to help on Friday, and also for food pick upon Wednesday mornings. Food donations are also appreciated. Items for donation can be placed in the basket outside the church office. A list of needed items is located in the bulletin each week. For more information on how to become involved, email IONA House coordinator Cy Tandy or Deacon Cathy Halford.

Monthly Items Needed
  • January - Canned fruit (including applesauce, peaches, pears, pineapple, etc.)

  • February - Rice

  • March - Maccaroni and cheese

  • April - Spaghetti sauce and pasta

  • May - Canned meat (including tuna, chicken, ham, beef stew, Vienna sausages, etc)

  • June - Toilet paper

  • July - Paper towels

  • August - Bar soap

  • September - Toothpaste, and tooth brushes

  • October - Canned vegetables (green beans, corn, beans, potatoes, etc.)

  • November - Stuffing mix, corn meal (small bags), rice

  • December - Cake mix, frosting, canned fruit
